The Zumo 396 LMT-S is brand new for Summer 2018 and offers top-spec motorcycle navigation for a price that's more competitive with the TomTom Rider. Turn routes into adventures to experience with friends. The Garmin Zumo 346 is the rugged 4.3" motorcycle GPS that lets you ride with twisty adventurous routing, wirelessly share GPX route files for group rides and stay connected using the Smartphone Link app. Built-in Wi-Fi allows for easy map updates, and Bluetooth lets Zumo control music on your phone. Other highlights include free live traffic and weather, live tracking and Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and smart notifications. Rider alerts encourage a safer ride with warnings of sharp curves, railroad crossings, nearby red light and speed cameras and more. Plus, the robust Zumo is built to withstand fuel vapours, UV rays, rain and other harsh weather elements. Features include: Rugged, glove-friendly, sunlight-readable 4.3" display, built-in Wi-Fi, music control, bluetooth hands-free calling and more.

What's the difference between the Zumo 396 and the Zumo 595?
Whilst there's a lot of (justified) excitement that the new, cheaper, Zumo 396 has the same features as the flagship 595, there's a few things to be aware of. Firstly, the most striking difference is the design. The 396 has a 4.3 inch screen opposed to the 595's 5 inch screen, and a rather more chunky bezel. The 396 is noticably lighter in weight, and in our opinion doesn't have the premium feel of the 595. The screen resolution is sharper on the 595 (even after taking account of the extra screen size) and we'd say it's slightly less reflective in sunlight. The 595 comes with a mount for your car and can be used in dual orientation, whereas the 396 only comes with a motorcycle mount and can be used in the usual landscape-only mode. Other points to mention are that the 396 lacks VIRB control, 3D terrain, compatibility with the tyre pressure monitor system, and doesn't have a removeable battery. In the 396's favour, however, is that it has built-in WiFi for easy updates and nice extras such as integrated TripAdvisor ratings, so there's now an alternative to tethering to your phone. The 396 also introduces Group Route Sharing (GPX files) and Automatic Incident Detection.
