When is Black Friday 2020 in the UK?

As usual, Black Friday is towards the end of November again this year. Friday 27th is the official date, with Cyber Monday following straight after on 30th November, just in time for Christmas shopping.

Black Friday 2020 is set to be another huge consumer event. If you’re one of the many shoppers holding out your sat nav, dash cam or sports GPS purchase to see what deals are around, then come back here again soon!

How long is Black Friday?

While many shops run early Black Friday offers, Black Friday officially kicks off at midnight on 27th November (i.e. late night Thursday).

You’ll still see early deals, but the majority of deals will be available on the actual day – with some retailers offering a week or a weekend of associated special offers.

Where to find the best Black Friday deals?

Most retailers want a piece of the action when it comes to Black Friday, which means there are a lot of offers and deals to sort through. Amazon, as one of the largest retailers in the world, is one of the most prolific with a stream of deals. Last year we saw:

– Lightning Deals on Garmin Forerunner Watches
– Lightning Deals on Garmin Fenix Watches
– Lightning Deals on Garmin Edge GPS
– 20% Off all Amazon Warehouse (open-box) Deals
– Lighting Deals offering up to 50% off selected TomTom sat navs

Currys PC World also ran a series of early offers last year so it’s a good place to check in the lead up to Black Friday as well as on the day. Some of their offer included:

– 25% Off Nextbase Dash Cams
– Extra 10% Off all TomTom

If you’re struggling to work out what deals are for you, we will have a guide on the day, so check back on Black Friday itself. Amazon also has a Daily Deals page which offers up to 90% off some products.

I can’t wait for Black Friday! Are there any deals available now?

Whilst there are always seasonal deals around, retailers are well aware that people are starting to look around for Black Friday offers and are trying to entice people in accordingly. Search our site fore the model you’re after and we’ll show you if there any deals around.

What Garmin deals should you expect?

Pretty much every Garmin device is going to potentially be discounted. Considering Garmin has just recently launched a new range of Fenix 6 devices, that means the older Fenix 5 range will be primed for a deal.

Likewise, the Vivoactive 3 and Vivoactive 3 Music have always been popular discounts in the past, and the arrival of the newer Vivoactive 4 guarantees there will be older models to be cleared out.

We’ve seen the Vivoactive 3 sold for as little as £129.99 in the UK, so those will be the prices to beat for Black Friday. With a bigger discount, the Vivoactive 3 could well be the best Garmin bargain.

It’s always helpful to look at historical prices, which is why you’re fortunate that’s just what we do year round. As mentioned, Prime Day is a strong precursor to Black Friday, giving you an idea of what prices will need to be beaten.

During Amazon Prime Day (last August), the Garmin Forerunner 35 was just £79.99, which was great value or an entry-level running watch. Since then, the Forerunner 45 has been released, so these are likely to hit an even lower price point. If you don’t need some of Garmin’s more advanced training tools, this is ridiculously good value.

Needless to say, there won’t be any shortage of Garmin deals on Black Friday!

Can Black Friday deals be returned?

Legally you have the same rights to refund faulty items bought on sale as you do when they’re bought full price. If the item isn’t faulty – for instance, if you decide you simply didn’t like the product – then you need to check with the retailer. In the UK you need a proof of purchase if you want to return an item, but if you just want a repair or to exchange you don’t need the warranty.
